Accommodation

Bahria University provides an in-campus hostel facility to the students but there are limited seats, so allotment of the room will be on the basis of availability of rooms.

Important Dates

Admissions to Bahria University are advertised in the leading national daily newspapers in June/July and Nov/Dec every year except for engineering programs which are advertised only in June/July( Only one intake ).

 

Admission Process

After the advertisement, the prospective students are required to apply by filling an online application form of the respective program and submitting it before the closing date. The link to the online admissions portal of Bahria University is given below.

Info for applying online

  • Read eligibility criteria and other instructions first
  • Provide profile information i.e Personal, Father’s details, and recent photograph
  • Select the desired program and provide Academic information for merit determination
  • For O/A level candidates should submit IBCC equivalence marks.
  • Print admission processing fee challan and submit an admission processing fee
  • Form submission status will be confirmed once you upload a copy of paid challans
  • Print admit slip for Bahria University Computer Based Test
  • If you have taken  SAT then email them with the scanned copy of entry test scores for exemption from CBT
  • For Bachelor’s in Non-Engineering programs SAT 1 is acceptable and for Bachelor’s in Engineering programs SAT 2 is accepted
  • Appear in the entry test and then appear for the interview
  • Merit List for interviews will be announced after the entry test
  • For merit, determination interview is necessary for all candidates
  • Original documents required by University must be brought along when coming for an interview
  • Finalized merit list will be announced after interviews and will be posted on the institutes website

 

BU Admission Test 

  • BU Entrance Test of Undergraduate Programs for Management Sciences & Earth & Environmental Sciences shall be based on the pattern of SAT-I and for Engineering Programs on SAT-II. 
  • For all UG Programs, there shall be 100 MCQs in a CBT. Each question shall be presented with four answer options. 
  • There is no negative marking. 
  • The test shall carry 100 marks and the time allowed shall be 120 minutes.

 

Departments of Management Studies, Business Studies, Media Studies, Humanities & Social Sciences, Maritime Sciences, Legal Studies (LLB) Program, the test shall consist of the following 4 sections:
  • Verbal ability
  • Quantitative Reasoning
  • Analytical Reasoning
  • General Knowledge

 

Departments of Computer Sciences, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, the test consists of the following 4 sections.
  • Verbal ability
  • Quantitative Reasoning
  • Analytical Reasoning
  • Physics and Maths

 

Department of Earth & Environmental Sciences, the test consists of the following 5 sections:
  • Verbal ability
  • Quantitative Reasoning
  • Analytical Reasoning
  • Biology or Maths
  • Chemistry and Physics

 

For BS (Psychology) and BS (English) the test shall consist of the following 3 sections:
  • English
  • General Knowledge
  • Verbal Reasoning

 

Eligibility Criteria 

 

For Management Sciences

  • Minimum 50% marks in Intermediate qualifications (HSSC/A Levels)

 

For Engineering Programs

  • Minimum 60% marks in Intermediate (Pre Engineering) or any other equivalent qualifications with Mathematics
  •  

For CS & IT

  • Minimum 50% marks in FSc (Pre Medical/Pre Engineering) or any equivalent certificate with mathematics

 

For Geology/Geophysics/Environmental Science

  • Passed intermediate with Pre–Medical/Pre–Engineering subjects or A-level/equivalent with at least 50%marks with English, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Biology

 

For Geoscience

  • F.Sc. (Pre-Engg/Pre-Medical /A-levels/ICS (Second Division or 45% marks)
  • Associate Engg. Diploma (Polytech) with Equivalent of 45% marks

 

For Humanities and Social Sciences

  • Minimum 50% marks in intermediate (HSSC/A Level)

 

For Maritime Sciences

  • Intermediate or its equivalent with a minimum of 45% marks in any discipline

 

For Media Studies

  • Minimum of 50% Marks in F.A/ F.Sc and equivalent

 

For Professional Psychology

  • Intermediate/A-level/Equivalent with at least 50% marks

 

For LLB

  • Intermediates/A level or equivalent examination with 50% marks
  • cleared Law Admission Test (LAT) with 50% marks

 

For Medical & Dental Sciences

  • Minimum 50% marks or above in intermediate science (preferably premedical) or equivalent examination.
